I have been very active in the local community.  Since moving to Suwanee in 1988 my involvements include:

Almost four years as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner for the City of Suwanee, including one year as Commission Co-Chairman.

Holding most of the officer positions on Homeowner Associations including three terms as HOA President.

Member of the committee that developed "The Town Master Plan, A Comprehensive Plan to the Year 2020", presented to Suwanee November 2000

Editor and Publisher of subdivision monthly newsletter for eight years, addressing such topics as local developments, government regulations, neighborhood concerns and historic sites preservation.

Actively involved with the City of Suwanee and Sugar Hill in ongoing Gwinnett County zoning efforts.

Serving 2 years on the Suwanee Day Festival committee including Sponsorship Committee chair the first year the festival made a profit.

Involvement in the community through sports (assistant instructor at local martial arts school), police events (Suwanee Citizen's Police Academy) and weekly volunteer work at Lanier middle school

I have also been very involved in the weekly music ministry at Perimeter Church for almost 25 years, where I have taught Sunday School and led both adult and high school discipleship groups.
