Personal BiographyI am an owner and sit on the board of a Georgia based software company, where I also serve as Vice President and General Manager. I am responsible for all receivables and payables and also negotiate all contracts and agreements for the company. I also manage the payroll for employees in Atlanta, Texas and Missouri. Professional Career After receiving an engineering degree from Auburn University in 1983 I moved to Atlanta and joined a national traffic engineering firm (jhk & Associates). While there I worked with traffic control systems in cities such as Los Angeles, Denver, and Ottawa. I developed a graphics drawing package and created displays to allow visualization of traffic flow - speed, occupancy, volume and signalization. In 1990 I started working for Process Control Corporation, writing embedded software for machine control systems. I managed a software team, wrote documentation, and traveled to manufacturing plants around the world to evaluate systems. In 1997 I joined two Georgia Tech graduates to build Advanced Systems Integration, an industrial integration company and began working on a variety of automation projects. During this time I gained experience with HMI/SCADA systems, specializing in remote communication software and Windows device driver development. We soon developed a Thin Client management software (ThinManager) and at that time began doing business as ACP. As business grew I handled all financials, contract writing and negotiation, company benefit programs and payroll. I also help develop and maintain a worldwide distribution channel, have published articles in technical publications, and write a monthly e-mail newsletter that is distributed to over 10,000 people.
